The trans isomer of E-1,2-dibromoethylene has a single mirror plane with a twofold rotation axis perpendicular to it. It has also a point of inversion. You should compare the symetry of this molecule to that of the cis isomer of 1,2-dichloroethylene.
The point-group symmetry for this molecule is given the crystallographic symbol 2/m.
