The figure below shows the results of the analysis of the data obtained by the Plaintiff's expert witness using on samples of sodium dichloroisocyanurate spiked with low levels of sodium chloride. The peak used in this instance was the 200 reflection of NaCl.
The intercept on the x axis is approximately −0.07%. If there were no intensity from peaks due to sodium dichloroisocyanurate, then the level of NaCl impurity was 0.07%. However, the actual impurity level can be deduced as being much lower due to the presence of the 122 reflection of sodium dichloroisocyanurate, as demonstrated by the intensity of the 220 NaCl peak in defendant's data (as shown earlier).
